Posada has been red hot, and has proven to us that he's not done. But why can't the Yankees use him better. Obviously, he shouldn't catch every day anymore, but I see no reason why he can't catch once or twice a week, and play first base once every two weeks or so. Teixeira and Martin can't play every day. My hen is sick! I'm worried.....?

So my Australorp hen is sitting in her nesting box, as she has for the last 3 days. She is at the topof the pecking order, so usually she is the one who gets all the food. She hasn't been eating anything, and she won't move. She just seems so drained of energy. I've placed bread and scrambled eggs right next to her, along with a bowl of water, but she's not eating/drinking. I know she isn't egg-bound because she layed an egg a few hours ago. Can a hen hatch chicks outside in garden in small coop?

I agree with the other two responses. 4 days is a little too early for you too really notice. Now assuming that they are fertile, you should see the outlining a small little chick when you check again on day 10. If you don't see anything by that time they are duds and will not hatch so discard them. Also mark the eggs that are under you broody hens, chances are if you have other egg laying hens they will try to lay their eggs in that spot. So everyday check and remove any that added. I've had 5 hens that have hatched their chicks out side one hatched it under the stairs and the rest inside of the coop. You wanna make sure that the place that she is brooding is protect from the elements. The chicks will hatch on day 20-22.

I like walking... I find it relaxing and calming! Okay so i think i eat pretty healthy. I dont go out to eat. I eat eggs and meat. I excercise. I even bought the workout insanity to help me lost all this belly fat. But i just cant lose it. Diet help please, 135 pound female?

During winter break I tried an orange diet for a week and dropped from 148 to 135. I'm usually 115 - 120 but I gained tons of weight when I started birth control and I think also because I was eating unhealthy food living in the dorms since I didn't have a car first semester and ate what they sold on campus. I've been trying to lose the weight since jan. I'm 5'5, I'm 20 years old and I currently weigh 135. I do workout everyday for an hour and a half and for breakfast I eat a 1/2 cup of cherrios with 1% milk, for lunch I have light yogurt (110 cal) with 3 cut up strawberries and a banana cut up and for dinner I usually have a sandwich with swiss cheese (90 cal), wheat bread, a little light mayo, onions, and turkey. I was thinking of trying a carrot diet for a week, would it work as well as my orange diet?? And don't say this is unhealthy please I ate only oranges but I also took multivitamins, fiber, and protein for that week. To give you a look on my metabolism: I urinate probably 15 times a day and I do the other thing around 4 to 5 times a day. Advice please? Oh and the ten pounds I lost during winter break I know it wasn't just muscle cause I lost inches and looked skinnier in general.

How do you splint a duckling's leg?

I was moving my duckling's to a hen house (i was holding them in my hands) and then all of a sudden i heard a crack in one of the duckling's legs. This happened to my other duckling and it died. I am a 19 year old girl, and I have been studying ASL for 4 years, part on my own, and part in school. I have gotten to collage level ASL2, and I am easily the top of my class. I took the ASL 4 final, just for fun, and I got an 84 %. This summer I am going to Gallaudet university to complete my ASL 3 and 4 classes. I am staying on the dorms, and besides that, I have no idea what to expect. I have a through understanding of deaf culture. Should I cut down on her milk feeds?

My little one will be a year old on July 15 and is still not eating very well. She has a 200ml (7 fl oz) when she wakens around 6.30am, a bottle at 10am (180ml/6.5 fl oz), lunch at 12pm (pureed food and a yoghurt) at 1.30pm she has another 200ml bottle then at 4pm she has another bottle (about 150ml) and then her dinner at 5.30 (again pureed food with fromage frais or fruit) and then a 200ml bottle before bed at 7.30pm. I try to give her breakfast of baby cereal, weetabix or ready brek (contacted the makers to ask if it was okay for a baby and it is) but she won't always take it, at 10am I try to give her fruit but again, she won't always take any, she has her lunch okay but not very much and dinner time isn't really a problem. She won't eat textured foods, only purees (she has three bottom teeth and four top teeth) but I feel she's not eating enough for her age. My 2 year old was on table foods at the same stage and was still breastfeeding (my 11 month old stopped wanting the breast at 10.5 months). Should I cut down on her milk intake to see if she eats more solids. i've tried her with finger foods too but she just puts them in her mouth then spits it out again, she will eat bread/toast though. I know people are going to say its based on genetics but im just curious. My dad is 6 foot and my mom is 5'6. Im a guy that is 16 years old i play basketball and track and im 5'9. i want to be taller than my dad but not like shaq tall. Liquid diet to start of weight loss.. has anyone else ever tried it?

Went to the doctor today.. she is putting me on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I am to have 5 Carnations good start breakfast shakes a day along with 7 bottles of water and that is it! I am a 19 year old girl, and I have been studying ASL for 4 years, part on my own, and part in school. I have gotten to collage level ASL2, and I am easily the top of my class. I took the ASL 4 final, just for fun, and I got an 84 %. This summer I am going to Gallaudet university to complete my ASL 3 and 4 classes. I am staying on the dorms, and besides that, I have no idea what to expect. I have a through understanding of deaf culture. I know a dew Deaf people, (mainly teachers), But are there any things I need to know? what is my daily life like? what are the dorms like? where do they put summer ASL students? will the people be friendly? are teachers Deaf? or hearing? will my dorm roommates be Deaf? or other ASL students like me? is it rude to talk on the phone while on Campus? when walking around campus hen I am dropped off by my hearing family members, should I try to sign and talk at the same time to them, out of respect for the other students? or should I just speak normally? how difficult are the classes? is there much homework? is their ASL 3 class at the same level as my community college ASL 3 class? anything else I should know? I think your breakfast and dinner habits are just fine, but you should eat a little more than just fruit for lunch. And if you think you exercise a lot and aren't getting enough to fuel yourself, they have powders and such you can put in water to boost your nutrients

Diet working, but I feel horrible?

Wow, it sounds like you are overdoing the exercise a bit. No wonder you are miserable. You may need to cut back on what you are doing as it's not really sustainable. If you don't enjoy it, you will give up soon. If you are hungry before bed then try having a banana as it helps release serotonin which helps you sleep and improves your mood. I always get hungry at night and could never sleep on an empty stomach. Eating a big meal right before bed isn't a good idea because you will digest it but it might keep you awake. But a Banana or a bowl of sugar free or low sugar cereal is not a problem. Keep up the good work and remember that losing the weight slowly is the best way.

I think you can get too obsessed with your food and health, and ironically by doing that you are not eating healthily because of lack of variation in your diet etc, i think you should concerntrate on what you eat and supplements a bit less, if your body needs nutrients it will tell you through cravings! eg - when you have low iron you apparently crave red meat x

Im a 21yo male. I weigh 187lbs and im 5'7'' .A month ago i switched from drinking 6-7 dr peppers a day to drinking nothing but water. I stopped eating fast food often. I try not to add table salt to anything, i also cut out little snacks. I eat about 400cal for breakfast and about 500-800 calories for dinner, i dont usually eat lunch but every once and awhile ill have 300cal for lunch.... Is this ok? also would eating lunch help my metabolism stay active until i eat dinner? How much weight could i potentially lose? Before i started all these changes, the highest number i seen on the scale was 198 and i usually weighed 196.xx. Is that good progress for a month?

Opinion on Bucks Nights "Surprises"?

Im getting married in a years time and my fiancee and I got to talking about our hens and bucks nights. The usual drinking and partying come up, which Im fine with, but now he wants to go to strip clubs and such. I am totally against this, but he wont back down. I dont know what else to say, I feel its cheating and its a real deal breaker for me. Any help on talking to him about this, or opinions for me to consider to let this go/take it less seriously would really help!

She kept trying to talk to me by rubbing her hand all the way down my arm, she also starts calling me by my nickname, which she had made up but then taken away during that period of being a *****...my teach took my drum sticks away and she just yells out 'awww poor jorgie'...I tried ignoring her but she just got pissed and said if I keep ignoring her she would delete me off her blackberry messenger....she also moved to the seat in front of me and started stretching back and putting her hair in my face....the next day they were officially going out....but then she moved to the seat in front of me and started doing the same hair thing and we were watching a movie in class that day, so she kept turning around to ask me about the movie and I was on my phone and all of a sudden she turns around and asks me 'what are you doing' and I just reply 'what?' And she just turns around going 'nothing'.... Now she is ignoring me again....why is she acting like this. on the second to last day of school we kept catching each other's eyes and then she just stared and held it, then she gave me a wassup nod...i just returned and we did that back and forth for a moment... then on the last day of school she just tells me 'wassup jorge' but never says bye... why is she some what nice to me on the last days of school

Why do my shins hurt?

In December I started having pain in my shins when I ran. I went to the doctor who said it was going to develop into stress fractures if I didn't take time off. I don't run much though so it seems odd to me that it would be stress fractures. I took about two months off and I was fine when I ran occasionally but a few weeks ago I started running more often and I am feeling pain again. Sometimes it hurts the next day hen I walk. Is this stress fractures or shin splints? And how can I treat it?

How much weight can i lose in two months on a diet?

so i wanna know how i can lose weight on a diet I've tried exercising and it just does not work i get tired and i barely have anytime to exercise..So i wanna know how to lose weight i wanna loose my muffin tops REALLY badly i look so bad and i just don't wanna know oh eat this and this and this food i wanna know like how much and what i should eat for breakfast,lunch,and dinner and how to not be tempted to eat junk food when its all over the kitchen So...please do help me :'(

Can I go on roller coasters after back surgery?

I'm supposed to be going to Thorpe Park next month for my hen do. I had a spinal fusion done at L5/S1 3 years ago and was wondering if I'm able to go on roller coasters? I can't contact my consultant who did the operation as he was private and I don't have health insurance any more (or the money to pay his fees!) I spoke to my GP today and she said that it should be ok as it's been 3 years and that I should take it slowly and keep an eye on any pain. Has anyone else gone on roller coasters after similar surgery?

Budgie breeding help ASAP!?

if got an aviary and 3 pairs of budgie i have colony boxes for 2 pair in the flight and one pair in a breeding cage in the aviary outside of the flight with a breeding box inside i have been watching the hen go in and out of the nest box and move the shavings around and i have seen the male in their once they have been in the breeding cage toghther for 5 days and but they were alredy paired up they have all of the right things to mate and how do i know when they will lay eggs or even mate or any other info please?
