Can a Christian get a tattoo of the Star of David?

I have both catholic and Christian friends and a catholic fiend of mine has lots of cool religious tattoos (rosary, thorns, prying hands and angels) all over his body. One day my Christian friend Jim told my catholic friend Jorge that he was going to get a tattoo of the Star of David and Jorge responded with “I don’t think that it is appropriate because you are Christian not Jew and according to your Christian religion you are not allowed to get tattoos” I felt bad for my friend but didn’t say nothing because both of them are my very good friends. So my question is, can a Christian get a tattoo of the Star of David?
